Originally envisioned and developed as an industrial area on the periphery of prague, Vysocany has undergone significant redevelopment in recent years – transforming the popular suburb into a lively neighbourhood with steadily growing public amenities, as well as efficient connections to the city centre.
The competition site is located in the western part of Vysocany. It is placed at the site of a former meat production house at sokolovská street. currently, this industrial plot is intended to be converted into housing and it will complete the surrounding housing blocks. all existing buildings on the plot are planned to be demolished and will be replaced by new proposal chosen in this competition.
